Kaley Cuoco, Tom Pelphrey, Briana Cuoco, Midori Francis, Rebecca Mozo and Justin Chatwin are set to star in the play Love Kills, a special event that will see all proceeds going towards IATSE members who have been impacted by the strikes.

Based on the one-act plays by Don Nigro, the event will run November 15-18 at the Colony Theater in Burbank.

Kevin Kittle is directing with Cara Christian producing. Justin Huen will be the technical director, with Dana Schwartz serving as stage manager.

The plays explore all the ways that “love can be deadly,” and they are shared like campfire ghost stories; full of suspense and atmosphere, infused with humor and a few winks at the audience. As with most of Nigro’s plays, they are a celebration of storytelling, and hopefully a reminder of the simple magic that can be created with a writer, a couple actors, a few stools, and a talented crew.

Performing Binorrie will be Francis and Rebecca Mozo; performing Lurker will be Chatwin and Briana Cuoco; and performing Fair Rosamund and her Murderer will be Kaley Cuoco and Pelphrey.

How long have you been working together and when did you first meet?
I gauge my time with Jamie based on how old her eldest kid is! I met Jamie at Comic Con when she was pregnant; I remember she had to fill in for someone that was supposed to come work with me. She came to my hotel room, and I remember thinking, “How is this very pregnant lady going to make her way around Comic Con with me?”

What is one of your favorite looks you’ve done together?
Honestly, we always outdo ourselves! Every look is my favorite. During the last Golden Globes, I was pregnant and it was one of my favorite looks from head to toe. I felt like a pregnant princess.

Which was the most difficult?
I can truly say I don’t think anything has ever been difficult with us. We never have a plan going in—we decide in the moment. We love to try things and play with makeup, because why not?”

What makes her latest product launch different?
This is the best makeup remover ever. It’s clean and easy on my eyes since I’m super sensitive. It’s my new favorite product no doubt. I love that it’s unscented and obviously love that it’s completely vegan.

Did you switch up what you were using during pregnancy and, likewise, now that you have a baby, have you simplified it?
Nope! Nothing has really changed. I’m the same girl who still loves the same products, loves makeup, loves her team, but now there’s a mini me hanging around!

The nearly 160,000 members of SAG-AFTRA, the union that represents all performers on film and television, are going on strike.

On Thursday, the Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) announced its national board voted unanimously to launch the guild’s first strike. The news was unveiled by SAG-AFTRA President Fran Drescher and National Executive Director & Chief Negotiator Duncan Crabtree-Ireland during a press conference, following the expiration of the union’s current contract and a 12-day extension of contract negotiations with the Alliance of Motion Pictures and Television Producers (AMPTP).

Why are the actors going on strike?
The short answer is because the SAG-AFTRA bargaining committee and AMPTP could not reach an agreement to form a new contract after their previous one expired on June 30.

But the reasons for a strike are many. SAG-AFTRA has faced a host of radical changes as the industry has pivoted away from more traditional models of theatrical distribution and network and cable television in favor of streaming. The issues at hand include the use of AI in generating and perpetuating actors’ likenesses, as well as residuals and data transparency for streaming projects. Other points of conflict are also salaries, particularly for guest stars, costars, and background actors, as rising inflation and the cost of living increasingly prevent many working actors from earning a living wage.

Drescher summed up the reasons for a strike in a press conference speech. “We are being victimized by a very greedy entity. I am shocked by the way the people that we have been in business with are treating us,” she said. “I cannot believe it, quite frankly. How far apart we are on so many things. How they plead poverty, that they’re losing money left and right while giving hundreds and millions of dollars to their CEOS. It is disgusting. Shame on them. They stand on the wrong side of history at this very moment.”

She continued: “The entire business model has been changed by streaming, digital, AI. This is a moment of history that is a moment of truth. If we don’t stand tall right now, we are going to be in trouble. We are all going to be in jeopardy of being replaced by machines and big business, who cares more about wall street than you and your family.”

We sit down with Kaley Cuoco (Ava Bartlett), Chris Messina (Nathan Bartlett), Tom Bateman (Matt Pierce), Priscilla Quintana (Ruby Gale), and Liana Liberato (Tory Thompson) to get an inside look at some of their favorite scenes and moments from the show, as well as their experiences working with this killer cast.

Kaley Cuoco is opening up about the “badass” scars she has after nearly losing her leg in an equestrian accident more than 10 years ago.

The Big Bang Theory alum, 37, appeared on Monday’s episode of Apple’s SmartLess podcast where she discussed severely breaking her leg after falling off her horse and how her injuries almost required doctors to amputate.

“It was a bad accident, it was a very bad accident,” she told co-hosts Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Sean Hayes.

In September 2010, Cuoco — who’s an avid horse jumper and competitor — was riding at a Los Angeles ranch when her horse got spooked and she fell off. Seconds later, the horse attempted to jump over her but landed on her left leg. Cuoco was rushed to the hospital with severe injuries.

“I remember clear as day, because it takes a second when something is that bad,” she recalled. “I was like, ‘Did I just fall on a whole thing of leaves?’ Because I heard all the cracking. … It took me like five or 10 seconds to actually realize it wasn’t just 400 leaves, it was my bones.”

The Flight Attendant star suffered a compound fracture of her tibia and fibula, causing the bones to pierce through the skin of her lower leg.

“It just was a horrible, horrible, horrible break,” she said, noting that she underwent surgery and, before going under anesthesia, had to sign a release allowing doctors to amputate her leg if needed.

Cuoco’s leg was fortunately saved during surgery. Doctors originally believed she wouldn’t be able to walk for months. However, after a two-week stay in the hospital, she was fitted for a walking boot and back on her feet. The accident resulted in the actress being written out of two episodes of the Big Bang.

“It was miraculous,” she said of her surgery and recovery. “I’ve got some good scars. It makes you feel like a badass.”

Cuoco has maintained her love for horse riding despite the brutal accident, even sharing that love with her daughter. In April, Cuoco shared photos on Instagram while introducing her 2-month-old daughter Matilda to one of the several horses she owns.
