Kaley Cuoco has high aspirations for her next rescue animal.
The actress, 38, tells PEOPLE in an exclusive interview that she would love to one day provide aid to a giraffe in need.
“I’m kind of one of the luckier ones because I have a 40-acre rescue ranch, and I have pretty much every animal that I could have ever dreamed of as a child, aside from a giraffe,” Cuoco says.
“I’m still dying to rescue a giraffe. We have not done that yet,” adds the star, who has partnered with Subaru to celebrate National Make a Dog’s Day on Oct. 22.
On her large farm, where she lives with fiancé Tom Pelphrey and their daughter Matilda, 18 months, Cuoco has numerous pets — including dogs and horses, as well as new additions of cows and turkey.
“Just recently, we brought on two turkey[s]. I have always wanted turkey[s], and we were able to rescue two,” Cuoco says. “I absolutely adore them. I am obsessed with them. They’re so friendly.”
“We also rescued two cows over the past year, and they are amazing,” continues the Based on a True Story star.
“We have an endless amount of animals at the ranch, so I’m living out that childhood dream, and it’s pretty cool,” she adds. “So hopefully [soon] I will have the giraffe rescue that I’ve always wanted.”
According to Cuoco, all of her different types of animals get along with one another, which she describes as being “incredible.”
“We have a big area where most of the little animals go — the goats, pigs, chickens and mini horses — and they all live together,” she tells PEOPLE. “It’s really interesting.”
“I do think that’s also a misconception where people don’t think different breeds and types can’t live together harmoniously,” Cuoco continues. “We have totally proven that wrong.”
She adds, “It’s very sink or swim at our place. … They all figure it out themselves. Like you bring them in, they figure out who’s the alpha, who maybe wants this corner? Who wants to be over here? This one’s friends with this one, and they all live together completely harmoniously. It is incredible.”
