Kaley Cuoco has revealed why she wasn’t initially on board with a second season of her hit show The Flight Attendant.
The Big Bang Theory star, who also serves as executive producer on the HBO Max show, is reprising the role of flight attendant Cassie Bowden in season two.
Following the bumpy flight that was the first chapter, fans will get to see protagonist Cassie deal with sobriety, her new CIA gig and… multiple versions of herself after she relocates to Los Angeles.
Speaking to Digital Spy and other media, Cuoco explained why she was a bit on the fence about returning for a second season, after the first had opened to rave reviews.
“I could not believe the love that I was receiving, that the show was receiving, and my cast – which made it even scarier to do a season 2,” the actress said.
“So I was terrified. And now I’m terrified again for season 2 to come out,” she continued, adding: “I’ll just keep being terrified, and eventually one day I won’t be.”
It’s great Cuoco overcame her doubts about a new chapter as, judging from the trailer, Cassie’s LA adventures look even more intriguing and action-packed than the ones she had in the first installment. Which means more behind-the-scenes work to share with fans of the show, as the actress confirmed.
“This season is 100 times bigger than what we did in season one. It’s funny, we did a lot of behind the scenes this year, and so, each episode, you’re going to get 10-minute videos when it’s done about behind-the-scenes and interviews of how we did stuff,” the actress said.
“I’ve been watching them, because I’ve been approving these videos, and it made me excited to show the world, because it shows all the hard work and the stuff we did with the multiple Cassies, and the stages, and the gorgeous production design.
“There were a lot of hands in this season. So I’m proud of those people, and a little less scared. No, I’m terrified. What am I saying?”
